Job Description

Thales is seeking an IGA Group and Le Barp Site Manager for its Bordeaux site. This role involves leading a team of about fifteen people responsible for the development, qualification, industrialization, production, testing, and operational maintenance of high-power RF amplifiers and pulsed power generators. The manager will also oversee site security and HSE, manage human resources, team animation, workload, and contribute to technical proposals and test facility evolution. The ideal candidate has confirmed experience in team and site management, strong technical skills in RF, and knowledge of HSE.

  • Participate in technical content validation and associated deadlines, review technical documentation.
  • Participate in the development of technical proposals and associated quotes.
  • Manage the evolution of test facilities at Le Barp (maintenance, evolution, investments).
  • Act as site security manager (with support).
  • Act as Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) manager for the site (with support).
  • Ensure liaison with the administrative attachment establishment in Cholet.

Your daily life

Our Le Barp site, located between Bordeaux and Arcachon, specializes in the development, integration, and Operational Maintenance of systems and equipment generating or amplifying very high-power signals.

Within the ITS sector, you will join the DES department and the Electromagnetic Engineering and Instrumentation (2IE) service, to take responsibility for the Instrumentation Generators and Amplifiers (IGA) group. This group, consisting of about fifteen people, is notably responsible for the development, qualification, industrialization, production, testing, and Operational Maintenance (MCO) of very high-power RF amplifiers and current/voltage generators of the Pulsed High Power type.

The teams are located at the Le Barp site in Gironde.

You also assume the function of Site Manager.

WHO ARE YOU?

Do you have confirmed experience in technical and site team management?

Do you have good knowledge in engineering, development, and IVVQ?

Do you have strong technical skills in RF?

Do you have in-depth knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) aspects?

Ideally, do you have technical skills in power electronics / high pulsed power?

You are recognized for your autonomy, your initiative, and your listening skills.

You are committed to the development and animation of a team.

WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER

As Manager of the IGA group, you will:

  • Ensure the human resources cycle: Develop the skills of group members, set and evaluate their objectives, participate in recruitment.
  • Lead the team: Develop its technical animation, improve its engineering processes, adapt its operation, communicate frequently with group members.
  • Manage the workload: Plan the workload of group members, allocate resources to different projects and lots, manage priorities, exchange with other managers of the 2IE service and Project managers located in Gennevilliers to ensure the adequacy of allocated skills with Project needs.
  • Participate in the validation of technical content and associated deadlines for the group's work. Review technical documentation production.
  • Participate in the development of technical proposals and associated quotes for the group's activities.
  • Manage the evolution of test facilities at Le Barp (maintenance, evolution, investments).

As Manager of the Le Barp site (in liaison with the administratively attached Thales establishment located in Cholet), you will be required to:

  • Be responsible for site security, supported by a collaborator.
  • Be responsible for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) for the site, supported by a collaborator.
  • Ensure the relationship with the Cholet establishment.
