Junior QA Tester

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior QA Tester to join our team and ensure the high quality of slot games. In this hands-on role, you will test games directly on physical gaming machines, ensuring they meet technical, functional, regulatory, and customer standards.

You’ll be working closely with Game Designers, Developers, Artists, Mathematicians, Product Owners, and other QA professionals to identify issues early and ensure a seamless, bug-free player experience. This is a fast-paced job with room for significant career growth.

Please note: you must have at least 3+ years of experience as QA to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Execute both scripted and exploratory test cases on physical gaming machines
• Review game documentation and test packages for accuracy and compliance
• Identify, log, and track software defects using tools such as Jira and Xray
• Validate game math, logic, and mechanics against specifications
• Document test findings clearly to assist in debugging and product improvement
• Provide regular updates on testing progress and key issues
• Follow established QA processes and contribute to process improvements
• Ensure compliance with jurisdictional, functional, and technical standards

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of experience as QA or with game testing environments
• Familiarity with slot machine games or gaming industry regulations
• Experience using test management tools such as Jira/Xray
• Understanding of game math or RNG (random number generator) testing principles
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting principles
• Comfortable working on-site with physical slot machines
• Self-motivated and eager to take initiative on new tasks
• Willingness to learn and adhere to quality assurance best practices
• Strong attention to detail and a critical problem-solving mindset
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills.
