What You'll Bring:
- Bachelors (4 year) degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, computer science, or another highly quantitative field.
- Ten (10) or more years of professional experience performing analytic development work in Financial Services, consumer credit, or a related industry, at least two (2) in a successful team management and leadership role.
- Multiple examples of demonstrated success in client-facing or complex practice leadership roles over a period of at least two (2) years.
- Strong aptitude and interest in people-management and leadership roles.
- Experience and a consistent record of success in project lead roles.
- Hands-on expertise in predictive modeling, statistical inference, machine learning, and other advanced analytical techniques.
- Advanced programming skills; proficiency with R or Python; experience using other programming and data manipulation languages (SQL, C/C++, Java, Scala, etc.).
- Versatile interpersonal and communication style with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within and outside the organization.

What we'd prefer to see:
- Master's (2 year) or PhD degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, computer science, or another highly quantitative field. And, eight (8) or more years of professional experience performing advanced analytic work in Financial Services, consumer credit, or a related industry.
- Substantive people-management experience in a global organization with an onshore/offshore talent model.
- Hands-on experience in a developing credit risk models and strategies for consumer financial service industry or other similar highly regulated industries.
- Strong familiarity with credit bureau data and business practices.
- Deep understanding of current challenges and trends affecting one or more industry segments served by TransUnion.
- Experience making formal presentations to large and senior-level groups.
- Experience with modern "big data" frameworks (Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience working in the cloud environment.
Impact You'll Make:
As a member of the Enterprise and Credit Data Science & Analytics (DSA) management team, you will lead a team of junior and experienced analytic professionals to design, develop, and implement custom solutions and products for both external and internal customers. Responsibilities include:
- Independent execution of the full range of personnel-related functions (talent acquisition and pipeline management, training, development, goal setting, and performance management) and business functions (revenue planning, budgeting, capacity planning, resource allocation, project management, work measurement, management reporting, and M&A support).
- Participate in the development of operating policies and procedures to promote operational excellence across DSA.
- Engage with stakeholders worldwide to ensure resource coverage and quality of deliverables and help achieve business unit goals.
- Lead analytic engagements involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive leveraging various techniques (e.g., segmentation, logistic regression, machine learning, survival analysis, principal component analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, scenario and sensitivity analysis).
- Develop project proposals, presentations, and promotional collateral to enable the adoption of integrated customer solutions supported by TransUnion.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
