Job Description

Figma is seeking an IT Operations Manager to lead their New York team. This role involves driving and executing the team's roadmap, managing performance and SLAs, providing metrics to leadership, and serving as an escalation point. The manager will foster a collaborative environment, identify and address inefficiencies in the employee lifecycle, partner with stakeholders, build performance dashboards, manage hardware and software procurement within budget, and lead IT projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading technical and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Figma is looking for a Manager, IT Operations to lead our New York team. We are looking for someone with a proven record leading a technical and cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment. You will drive and execute against the team’s roadmap, handle performance management, SLA's, provide leadership with relevant metrics and serve as an escalation point for the team.

This is a full time role that can be held from our New York Hub.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Build a collaborative and supportive environment for the NY support team, serving as a leader not only by mentorship but also by rolling up your sleeves and supporting the team as necessary
  • Proactively identity and address inefficiencies and bottlenecks within the employee lifecycle (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, access requests)
  • Partner closely with key collaborators across the business to understand their needs and work towards common initiatives
  • Build and maintain dashboards showing relevant metrics (CSAT, SLAs, response / resolution time) to serve as a baseline for employee performance and overall IT performance. As a data-driven leader you’ll use these metrics to identify root causes of issues and find solutions  
  • Ensure the procurement of hardware and software aligns within budget and forecast costs to optimize financial planning and resource allocation
  • Lead IT projects from conceptualization to completion involving cross departmental collaboration

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience leading a team of IT professionals with a wide variety of responsibilities
  • 5+ years of direct IT support experience
  • Experience working with remote teams, multiple offices, and different time zones
  • Ability to partner with both technical and non-technical collaborators on a global level
  • Advanced knowledge on Okta, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, JAMF and various other SaaS tools

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Experience managing vendors and or contractor workforces

Pay Transparency Disclosure

If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.    

Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range. Please discuss your specific work location with your recruiter for more information. 

Figma offers equity to employees, as well a competitive package of additional benefits, including health, dental & vision, retirement with company contribution, parental leave & reproductive or family planning support, mental health & wellness benefits, generous PTO, company recharge days, a learning & development stipend, a work from home stipend, and cell phone reimbursement.  Figma also offers sales incentive pay for most sales roles and an annual bonus plan for eligible non-sales roles. Figma’s compensation and benefits are subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Annual Base Salary Range (SF/NY Hub):

$149,000 - $215,000 USD
