Job Description

This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes and automating data reporting. Key responsibilities include analyzing workflows for efficiency, implementing engineering solutions, and driving continuous improvement. The engineer will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for KPIs, automate data tasks using tools like Power Automate, Excel, and SQL, and integrate data for real-time decision-making. Collaboration with production, quality, and IT teams is essential for implementing automation initiatives and providing user support. A Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or data analytics are required.
Must have:

  • Automate routine data reporting tasks using tools like Power Automate, Excel, and SQL.

  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement role and data analytics.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Power BI, dashboard/report creation, Excel, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Process and Productivity Improvement:

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Evaluate current production processes, identify inefficiencies and propose engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams to implement process enhancements and best practices through automation opportunity.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Partner with operations to drive Kaizen and continuous improvement projects.

Power BI & Automation:

  • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to monitor manufacturing KPIs such as cycle time, OTD, output, OEE etc.
  • Automate routine data reporting tasks using tools like Power Automate, Excel, and SQL.
  • Integrate data from various sources such as MES system, Excel and other systems to support real-time decision-making.
  • Automate recurring production and quality reports to reduce manual effort and human error.
  • Perform routine data extraction and trend analysis.
  • Provide insights through visualization and simple statistical analysis.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and improve dashboard usability.

Cross Functional Collaboration and Support:

  • Work with production teams, IT and maintenance to implement automation and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide user support for dashboards, reporting or any new digital tools.
  • Support on manufacturing improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement role and data analytics.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Power BI, dashboard/report creation, Excel, and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Python, SQL).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
