Job Description

The Multimedia Producer develops and produces promotional content for news and commercials across TV, radio, digital, and local events. This role involves scriptwriting, camera operation (studio and field), video/audio editing, and motion graphics. Candidates must excel in conceptualization, storytelling, and maximizing multimedia resources, managing projects independently from start to finish. Social media savvy and knowledge of online content production are essential, along with a proactive attitude in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge in iNews, VizRT and news gathering tools.
  • Knowledge in 3D animation with Cinema 4D.
Must Have:
  • Perform video and audio editing using cuts or effects, synchronizing video and audio in pre-recorded tracks, and mixing natural sound and graphics.
  • Prepare video for newscasts using server-based editing and playback system.
  • Edit special assignments as needed.
  • Upload video, digital pictures, and copy to the station’s website and social media platforms.
  • Work independently, managing simultaneous projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Functional to advanced knowledge in Adobe CC suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition).
  • Functional to advanced knowledge in professional camcorders and DSLRs (Canon, Panasonic and Sony).
  • Functional to advanced knowledge in field production lighting, audio recording and gear.
  • Functional to advanced knowledge in green screen and studio production environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Proficient in PC and MAC computer skills.
  • Proficient in written and oral Spanish and English.
  • Ability to drive, stand, walk and sit for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to Lift 50lbs.
  • Must be willing to work from office in Orlando, FL.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Applicants must have a valid Driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.

The Multimedia Producer is responsible for the development and production of promotional content for news and commercials including TV, radio, digital and local events. This position requires the ability to write scripts, do camera work in studio and on field, edit video and audio, and manipulate design and motion graphics.

Candidates need to be well versed in conceptualization, storytelling and able to maximize usage of multimedia resources. Applicants should be able to take a project from start to finish under minimal supervision, be social media savvy and have knowledge of content production for online and digital outlets.

Most importantly, the perfect candidate should have good attitude, be proactive and work well in a fast paced deadline driven environment.

YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)

  • Perform video and audio editing using cuts or effects, synchronizing video and audio in pre-recorded tracks; use/mix natural sound and graphics into the stories being edited; and use other production tools to enhance the edited stories when needed.
  • Prepare video for newscasts using server-based editing and playback system.
  • Edit special assignments as needed.
  • Might be required to upload video, digital pictures, and copy to the station’s website and social media platforms.
  • Will work independently, managing simultaneous projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)

Candidate must have functional to advanced knowledge in the following technologies:

  • Adobe CC suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition)
  • Professional camcorders and DSLRs (Canon, Panasonic and Sony).
  • Field production lighting, audio recording and gear.
  • Green screen and studio production environment.
  • iNews, VizRT and news gathering tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge in 3D animation with Cinema 4D is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • PC and MAC computer skills.
  • Proficient in written and oral Spanish and English.
  • Ability to drive, stand, walk and sit for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
