Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cutting area operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Resolve operational problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
  • Manage labor scheduling and planning to meet production targets.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, address concerns, and promote team cohesion.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, recommending innovations where appropriate.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control measures for the cutting area.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective team leadership and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Proven track record of implementing operational strategies that drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications and production management systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in all operations.
