Job Description

As a Program Manager III at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to cluster networking within the Technical Infrastructure team. Responsibilities include growing, shrinking, augmenting, changing, and maintaining cluster networking layers. You'll influence new product introductions (NPIs), define policies and tooling requirements for managing cluster networking products, drive process and tooling improvements, and manage the transition of new products into the fleet. You'll also offer technical guidance and prioritize partner team requests, requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills. The role demands expertise in data center technologies, networking, and architecture.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or technical project management.
  • Experience with Networking.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with data center technologies, data center networking, data center architecture, and Network Interface Cards (NICs).
  • Experience with New Product Introduction.
  • Excellent investigative, communication and collaborating skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Influence networking New Product Introduction (NPIs) to be able to manage the fleet.
  • Define policies and tooling requirements to manage cluster networking products, emphasizing planning, provisioning, reliability, and interoperability needs across the existing fleet.
  • Drive process and tooling improvements in coordination with and collaboration across internal engineering teams.
  • Participate in the development of new products from early concept to full production. Manage the transition of new products into the fleet, while offering technical guidance to the organization, regarding impacts to the networking fleet.
  • Use technical and business judgment to prioritize and escalate partner team requests.
