IO Interactive is seeking passionate and talented Environment/Prop Art Interns for a 4-month, full-time unpaid internship in Malmö, Sweden, or Copenhagen, Denmark. This role offers the chance to gain valuable industry experience and contribute directly to the development of the eagerly anticipated game 007 First Light, supporting Environment and Prop Art teams in creating high-quality assets and learning professional workflows.
Must have:
  • Strong artistic eye and a portfolio demonstrating 3D modelling, texturing, or environment work.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools (such as Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, etc.).
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Portfolio must include at least one game-ready asset with textures + wireframes.
  • Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Good to have:
  • Include breakdowns in your portfolio.
  • Create a worn metal briefcase, game-ready, under 5k tris, 2k texture set, PBR.

Are you an aspiring Prop Artist or Environment artist looking to take your first steps into the games industry? IO Interactive is looking for passionate and talented Environment/Prop Art Interns to join our team in either our Malmö or Copenhagen studio.

This is a 4-month, full-time limited internship, offering you the chance to gain valuable industry experience and contribute directly to the development of our eagerly anticipated game: 007 First Light.

Please note: This is an unpaid internship, offered to students who are supported by their European education funds (as in Denmark or Sweden), or to other motivated candidates able to participate under the same conditions. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

What you’ll do:

  • Support our Environment and Prop Art teams in creating high-quality assets for a AAA production.
  • Work within a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team to bring immersive worlds to life.
  • Learn best practices, pipelines, and workflows in a professional studio setting.

Who you are:

  • A strong artistic eye and a portfolio demonstrating 3D modelling, texturing, or environment work.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools (such as Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, etc.).
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.

How to apply and recommendations:

Make sure you have read the description and that your portfolio reflects the style of Project 007 First Light.

We recommend showing 3–5 pieces only (props + environments). Your portfolio should include at least one game-ready asset with textures + wireframes. It's optional to include breakdowns, but we strongly encourage it.
