As a QA Automation Engineer, you will join the digital products team, ensuring new and existing products meet high standards of usability and quality. This role involves active participation in the product lifecycle, from analysis and design to development and testing, focusing on automation and defect resolution.
Must have:
  • Collaborate on analysis, design, development, and testing throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in release planning meetings to identify missing or incomplete requirements.
  • Maintain and develop new strategies for Automation framework and related activities.
  • Create and execute automated scripts for regression, integration, and functional testing.
  • Clearly articulate specifics around defects verbally and in writing.
  • Monitor and update defect reports for timely problem resolution.
  • Perform application and project risk analysis, recommend quality improvements.
  • Follow up independently with design/development resources regarding defects.
  • Communicate time delays or software defects immediately to team and management.
  • Mentor and coach team members and new team members.
  • Evaluate solutions to design, script, and execute Performance tests (Load, Stress).
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Knowledge of QA tools, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
Good to have:
  • SQL (PostgreSQL) complex queries
  • Test Automation, with the focus on Python, Selenium, JMeter, Jenkins, Postman

The Role

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will contribute to the work of the digital products team and ensure that new and existing products meet high standards of usability and quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Play an active part in the product team throughout the Lifecycle to collaborate on the analysis, design, development and testing
  • Actively participate in release planning meetings to create stories with acceptance criteria by helping identify missing or incomplete requirements
  • Maintain and develop new strategies for Automation framework and all related automation activities.
  • Creates and Executes automated scripts for regression, integration, and functional testing on newly designed or modified applications/systems
  • Clearly articulates verbally and in writing the specifics around defects
  • Monitors and updates defect reports as needed to ensure timely problem resolution
  • Performs application and project risk analysis and recommends quality improvements
  • Independently follows up with design/development resources regarding defects
  • Communicates in a clear and concise manner all time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and management
  • Mentor and coach team members and new team members
  • Evaluate solution to design, script and execute Performance tests (Load, Stress)
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of relevant QA technical experience;
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA, as well as ensuring the technical translation of requirements into test plans;
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure cross functional team collaboration and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases;
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and concepts is an asset:
  • SQL (PostgreSQL) complex queries;
  • Test Automation, with the focus on Python, Selenium, JMeter, Jenkins, Postman;
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – be motivated and take informative quick decisions.
