Job Responsibilities

1. Development Area, Business Overview, and Role/Position within R&D of the Department

This department belongs to the Research & Development Division and is creating future automotive technologies. We are currently advancing research and development towards the realization of Level 4 autonomous driving on urban public roads. In FY24, we conducted a driverless demonstration in Yokohama City. We aim to launch the service within a few years. This team is developing autonomous driving algorithms and AI. Many programmers, AI developers, and cloud engineers are part of this team. In this position, you will be hands-on in development, including programming and simulation. While tackling the challenging task of Level 4 autonomous driving, you can acquire specialist skills in this industry, as well as programming, AI development, and cloud development skills.

2. Specific Job Content and Expected Role/Position within and outside the Department

Development and experimentation of virtual development spaces to achieve Level 4 autonomous driving on urban public roads:

• Utilize the cloud to build virtual spaces based on data obtained from actual vehicles (cloud development, data science).
• Develop and verify autonomous driving simulators using virtual spaces on the cloud (virtual space, simulation, generative AI).
• Evaluate functions and performance in simulations and real-world driving, and create system requirements based on evaluations (system engineering).
• Develop AI for autonomous driving on the cloud (data science, machine learning, generative AI).

Requirements

MUST

• Possess appropriate knowledge and experience in one of the following: cloud, machine learning, generative AI, or autonomous driving technology (IoT, sensors, signal processing, control).
• Ability to develop programs in Python or C++.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• TOEIC score of 600 or higher.

WANT

• Experience in developing communication and cloud-utilizing systems.
• Practical experience related to machine learning and artificial intelligence implementation.
• Experience in control development for robots or vehicles.
• TOEIC score of 730 or higher.

Annual Income

Monthly Salary (Reference Value)

233,000 JPY - 439,000 JPY

• Determined comprehensively based on experience and expertise.

Estimated Annual Income (Reference Value)

Approximately 4.17 million JPY - 7.66 million JPY

• Monthly salary x 12 months + bonus (estimated value).
• Bonus amount is a reference value; actual payment timing, amount, and conditions will be determined separately.
• Overtime allowance, etc., will be paid separately based on employee wage regulations.
