This Sales Manager role involves overall accountability for sales and revenue for indirect channels within TransUnion's direct-to-consumer services business. The role requires operating at strategic, tactical, and operational levels, leveraging market knowledge and professional networks to drive outcomes. Key responsibilities include leading a sales team, overseeing client expectations related to solution delivery, and managing channel operations. This includes cultivating and expanding client relationships, developing strategic sales plans, monitoring industry trends, leading sales initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, translating client needs into solutions, designing commercial proposals, leading negotiations, ensuring seamless transitions from sales to delivery, monitoring implementation progress, providing leadership to sales teams, and delivering regular reports. This role is a hybrid position that requires working virtually and in-person at an assigned TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales or related field.
  • Proven track record of sales and revenue generation.
  • Ability to leverage networks to acquire new clients.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior executives.
  • Financial acumen and ability to develop sales strategies.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of consumer credit products and selling concepts.

This role holds overall accountability for the sales and revenue for indirect channels for TransUnion’s direct to consumer services business. You will be responsible for the multiple revenue streams that comprise the channel. You are expected to operate at a strategic, tactical and operational level, where your market knowledge and professional networks will help you drive required outcomes. Ensuring you provide great leadership by effectively leveraging, managing and developing a small sales team will be key in the roles success. In addition, you will be responsible for providing oversight and client expectation management related to solution delivery as well as channel operations.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or client management.

  • Proven track record of aggressively growing a business in terms of sales and revenue generation

  • Ability to leverage networks and platforms to identify, engage and acquire new clients

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to effectively interact with senior executives

  • Financial acumen and ability to develop and communicate sales strategies

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships based on knowledge and support of the client

  • Advanced knowledge of consumer credit products and consultative selling concepts and skills

  • Design commercially viable proposals aligned with client objectives and internal standards.

  • Lead complex negotiations, engaging multiple stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Implementation Oversight & Operational Alignment

  • Ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery, managing risks and client expectations.

  • Monitor implementation progress and operational performance, addressing issues proactively.

Internal Collaboration & Leadership

  • Provide leadership and guidance to sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Deliver regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.

  • Represent the region in global forums and contribute to governance initiatives.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
