About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong focus on month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger operations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and general ledger activities in a fast-paced environment.

• Journal Entries: Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, schedules, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline reconciliation processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Compliance and Audits: Support external audits by providing accurate documentation, reconciliations, and schedules as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, to ensure accurate financial data.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects, such as system implementations, budget preparation, or variance analysis, as assigned.

Your attention to detail, organization and time-management skills will play a key role in driving operational excellence and supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on the technology industry
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaborating with team members and presenting financial data.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience with process automation or system migrations is a plus.
