With a party of veteran IOI guild members and new wizards and sorceresses of the industry, we are building an ambitious new IP for console and PC that will revolutionize the online fantasy RPG genre. We’re seeking a Screenwriter to join our team and craft the story that drives our game’s cinematic and emotional experience. You’ll take the creative vision and transform it into engaging scripts with compelling dialogue, strong character arcs, and memorable scenes. Working closely with our creative leads, you’ll ensure that every cinematic beat resonates with players and delivers the same storytelling power as feature animation or film.

**This is a temporary, project-based role. We are open to remote work and contractor arrangements to accommodate the needs of the right candidate.

What you will do:

• Write engaging screenplays that capture character, tone, and narrative vision.
• Develop dialogue, story beats, and scene direction for use in cinematic sequences.
• Break down high-level story direction into detailed scripts and scene structures.
• Collaborate with directors, animators, and narrative designers to adapt screenwriting for interactive storytelling.
• Ensure consistency of character voices and story logic across the entire project.
• Revise and polish scripts based on feedback throughout production.
• Provide clear intent for performance capture and voice acting direction.

Who you are:

• Native-level English speaker with proven expertise in screenwriting.
• Professional experience writing for feature animation or theatrical productions (Pixar, DreamWorks, Disney, or similar a strong plus).
• Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact.
• Demonstrated ability to write authentic, character-driven dialogue.
• Experience collaborating across departments (direction, animation, narrative, production).
