We are seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Director, Corporate Communications & Brand to shape and amplify the company’s narrative across earned, owned, and shared channels, while stewarding the brand to ensure consistency, relevance, and resonance with key audiences. This individual will lead media relations, corporate communications, content strategy, and thought leadership.
Expectations of you and your team
Corporate Communications:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with Flexera’s business goals.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on communications matters.
- Manage PR agency relationships and oversee global media outreach.
- Work closely with internal communications, partner marketing, customer marketing, product marketing, analyst relations and sales enablement teams to coordinate effective and impactful end-to-end communications for all company initiatives
- Own the crisis communications strategy & run point on crisis comms
Brand Strategy & Execution:
- Own the global brand strategy, architecture, and visual identity.
- Ensure the brand shows up consistently everywhere it shows up – through our products, our marketing programs, sales interactions and internal communications
- Lead brand measurement initiatives to assess awareness, perception, and equity.
- Work with product and product marketing teams on branding for new and acquired solutions
- Work with legal teams to establish and maintain brand IP & attributes
- Oversee all creative services staff and agencies
Thought Leadership & Content Strategy:
- Own the thought leadership and content strategy across the full customer lifecycle, supporting brand, demand and customer advocacy programs
- Partner with the CEO, executive team and subject matter experts across the business to craft compelling thought leadership messaging that shapes market perception of Flexera.
- Collaborate with Growth and Digital marketing teams to ensure brand-aligned storytelling is woven throughout all marketing channels
Strategic Leadership:
- As a member of the marketing leadership team, will collaborate with other marketing leaders to build and maintain a fun, engaging, outcome-oriented culture with your team and across marketing
- Manage your assigned budget and work with marketing colleagues to optimize investments for maximum impact
- Bring innovative ways of working to your team, including methods for leveraging AI
- Own and proactively manage the organizational design and performance of the Communications and Brand team, aligned to business needs and industry best practices
What makes you a great fit?
- 10+ years of experience in B2B corporate communications and demonstrated experience with brand strategy, preferably in the SaaS technology space
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and executive presence
- Experience managing agencies and cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive and have fun in a fast-paced, collaborative, matrixed environment
- Strong analytical skills and experience with brand and communications measurement
- Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth SaaS environment
- Familiarity with IT, cloud, or enterprise software sectors
- Understanding of LLMs and how to optimize for these across media, brand and content
