The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong technical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. The Field Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues, as well as maintaining positive customer relationships. Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting front-end client systems in complex Broadcast IT environments. The engineer will work independently on client systems, analyzing issues promptly and escalating when necessary. They will handle customer support calls, thoroughly documenting issues and working towards resolution or escalation. Commitment to providing timely technical support in live TV broadcast settings and for time-critical applications is essential, requiring quick troubleshooting and diagnosis via phone, remote access, on-site visits, or email.

  • Broadcast IT administration knowledge
  • Broadcast workflow knowledge
  • Knowledge of Avid Products and Avid Broadcast workflow is an added advantage

Job Details

he ideal applicant for this position should have strong technical skills, be good communicator, and pay close attention to detail. The field engineer should diagnose and address problems, also maintain customer relationships.
Field Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Prime responsibility of Engineer will be to install / configure / troubleshoot and support front end client systems in complex Broadcast IT setups.
  • Work independently on client systems with guidance from superiors, must be capable to quickly analyse reported issue and act promptly for quick resolution or escalate to superiors.
  • Receive support calls from customers, capture complete information about the issue and work to resolve or escalate to senior members.
  • Must be committed to deliver technical support within time-sensitive environments for live TV broadcast sites and time critical applications, the engineer should quickly troubleshoot and diagnose issue over phone / remote / onsite / email for the systems presented to him.
  • Must clearly communicate about the issue with customer and senior team members, regularly update complete details and developments of the case.
  • Periodically update detail of systems and software installed at customer sites in the region.
  • File and submit periodical tech call sheets, case status, expenses to reporting officer.
Skills required:
  • Knowledge about Networking, IT Servers, Storages & Troubleshooting is required.
  • 5 to 10 years work experience is required
  • Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
  • Good command over Operating Systems (Windows & Linux)
