Job Description

As Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in controllership over assigned entities and support the Finance Manager with complex transactions overview. You will work within the EMEA Corporate Finance Team and report directly to the Finance Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining US GAAP and local ledgers, preparing financial analysis, managing statutory reporting, and supporting tax calculations.
Must have:
  • Maintain US GAAP and local ledgers
  • Prepare and review financial and accounting analysis
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures & Flow charts
  • Review month end close and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and policy
  • Perform the local GAAP accounting close
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax department and service providers
  • Manage the statutory reporting calendar
  • Support the process of corporate income tax provision calculation and income tax return
  • Experienced (4-5 year PQE) qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA)
  • Previous experience with an international company or with an accounting services firm
  • Strong technical skills
  • Strong Excel skills

  • Constantly look for improvement opportunities and drive implementation
  • Serves as an escalation point of contact to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work independently and closely and successfully with professionals of different backgrounds and cultures
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders from Tax, Treasury, Legal Departments
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Support the EMEA corporate and accounting teams in ensuring compliance with country reporting rules
  • Experience with SAP or Hyperion systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic leadership team to collaboratively solve complex problems innovatively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

Job Details

As Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in controllership over assigned entities and support the Finance Manager with complex transactions overview. You will work within the EMEA Corporate Finance Team and report directly to the Finance Manager.

Your Role includes

  • Maintain US GAAP and local ledgers including the preparation and/or review of related journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial and accounting analysis involving complex transactions.
  • Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures & Flow charts for processes in scope.
  • Review month end close and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and policy.
  • Perform the local GAAP accounting close.
  • Coordination of calendar with external auditors, tax department and service providers.
  • Manage the statutory reporting calendar.
  • Strong ability to develop initial positions / views to complex problems on their own.
  • Support the process of corporate income tax provision calculation and income tax return.

Your Background

  • Experienced (4-5 year PQE) qualified accountant. ACA, ACCA or CPA qualification – preferably trained within audit.
  • Previous experience with an international company or with an accounting services firm.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to understand complex accounting issues and models.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic leadership team to collaboratively solve complex problems innovatively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact well with people of various backgrounds and levels.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with SAP or Hyperion systems would be an advantage.
