Job Description

As a Senior Cloud DWH Architect, you will lead the migration of an existing MS SQL Server data warehouse to Google BigQuery, design and implement a scalable cloud data architecture, and develop ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt or other frameworks. You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure high performance and security, and establish best practices for data governance. This role involves working on a greenfield migration project, shaping the future of the data platform, and taking full ownership of the modern tech stack.
Must have:
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
  • Knowledge of cloud data security and cost management
  • Expertise in Google BigQuery
  • Proficiency in Python is mandatory.
Good to have:
  • Solid understanding of MS SQL Server
  • Experience with dbt for transformation workflows.
  • Experience with Superset or other BI solutions
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure.
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and Git.

We are looking for a Senior Cloud DWH Architect.

Your main tasks will be:

    • Lead the migration of an existing MS SQL Server data warehouse to Google BigQuery;
    • Design, implement, and optimize a robust and scalable cloud data architecture tailored to business needs;
    • Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt or any other transformation framework for seamless data transformation and integration;
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align the architecture with business objectives;
    • Ensure high performance, security, and cost-efficiency of the new cloud data platform;
    • Establish best practices for data modelling, query optimization, and data governance in the cloud environment;
    • You’ll work on a greenfield migration project, shaping the future of our data platform from day one;
    • Be part of a tech-driven team building modern solutions at scale (processing multiple TBs of data daily);
    • Get full ownership and leadership responsibility for the modern tech stack cloud data architecture.

    We expect from you:

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and associated services;
    • Knowledge of best practices for cloud data security, compliance, and cost management;
    • Proven expertise in Google BigQuery, including data modelling, schema design, and performance tuning;
    • Proficiency in Python is mandatory.

    Nice to have:

    • Solid understanding of MS SQL Server and experience migrating workloads to the cloud;
    • Experience with dbt for building and managing transformation workflows.;
    • Experience with Superset, Looker, SSRS (or other BI solutions);
    • Exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.;
    • Experience implementing data governance frameworks;
    • Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and version control systems like Git.

This money can be spent on the rent of the co-working room, on equipping the working place at home (desk, chair, Internet, etc.) during those 3 years;
