Job Description

Brightspeed is seeking a Senior Manager, Network Operations to lead multiple teams, including Network Operations Managers and specialized engineers. This role involves overseeing provisioning transport circuits, performing transport card additions, and configuring alarming for network devices. The Senior Manager will ensure operational excellence across broadband, Ethernet, and transport networks by managing lifecycle activities, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives, driving process improvements in a complex operational environment.
Good To Have:
  • Project management experience in telecommunications.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with vendor platforms such as Nokia, Cisco, Juniper.
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent).
Must Have:
  • Lead and mentor Network Operations Manager and engineering team to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Oversee activation, augmentation, and maintenance of broadband, Ethernet, and transport networks.
  • Manage provisioning of transport circuits, transport card installations, and alarming configurations for network devices.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve network performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Establish KPIs, scorecards, and analytics to monitor team and organizational performance.
  • Partner with engineering, planning, and leadership teams to support new technology deployments and modernization initiatives.
  • Understand and explain complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular leadership meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions.
  • Drive process automation and efficiency improvements across all operational functions.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of experience in network operations, including at least 10 years in a management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of broadband, Ethernet, and transport technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

You will ensure operational excellence across broadband, Ethernet, and transport networks by managing lifecycle activities, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements across a large, complex operational environment.

As a Senior Manager, Network Operations your responsibilities will include:

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 15+ years of experience in network operations, including at least 10 years in a management role
  • Strong technical knowledge of broadband, Ethernet, and transport technologies
