Autodesk AEC Administration Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Access Management Service which oversees Access Controls and Authorization for all Autodesk customers. This role demands a dynamic individual who can work fast, communicate effectively, and exhibit humility while being action-oriented. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining the Access Management Service, collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing systems using NodeJS, Postgres, and Redis, ensuring security and performance, and providing technical leadership.
Must have:

  • Ensure highest levels of security and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Proficient in NodeJS, with solid experience in backend development.
  • Experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres.
  • 4+ Years experience.
  • Familiarity with Redis for caching and real-time data processing.
  • Proven ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Humble yet confident, with ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.
  • Action-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results.
Good to have:
  • Experience in developing and maintaining large-scale access management systems
  • Knowledge of security best practices and standards
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Strong DevOps Knowledge
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times a year for team meetings
  • Part of on-call rotation, roughly 1 week every 3 months

Permissions, etc) and Authorization for all Autodesk customers. This role demands a dynamic individual who can work fast, communicate effectively, and exhibit humility while being action-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the Access Management Service to ensure robust and scalable access controls and authorization mechanisms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Implement and optimize systems using NodeJS, Postgres, and Redis
  • Ensure the highest levels of security and performance in the access management system
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure
  • Proficient in NodeJS, with solid experience in backend development
  • Experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres
  • 4+ Years experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Redis for caching and real-time data processing
  • Proven ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Humble yet confident, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion
  • Action-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
