Senior VFX Artist - Ouro Interactive
Responsibilities
A Senior VFX Artist is responsible for the technical aspects of art asset development and the creation of high quality visual effects pipelines and assets. This entails working closely with Art and Engineering to develop and support the asset pipeline, shaders, templates, rigs, real-time effects, and animations.
Partner closely and lead the art and design teams in defining and developing visual effects content
Design, manage and maintain the pipeline for visual effects from pre-production through production
Optimize content through enhancing performance and instructing the artists and designers on asset creation, modeling and texturing best practices
Manage the visual effects pipeline including developing runtime efficient visual effects, reusable templates, shaders, and techniques that other artists can build from
Develop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety technical and artistic tasks
Quickly solve issues with cross-functional leads
Be an owner of the visual effects domain, providing top class, performant, mixed-reality artwork
Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environment
Minimum Qualifications
Expert of the real-time visual effects domain
Expert in bespoke performant solutions to challenging problem
Expert communication skills, communication across teams including engineers and artists
Experienced working independently and manage one’s time
Experienced in game profiling and optimization techniques
Experienced shipping products with stringent runtime performance constraints, such as complex mobile or 3D applications or games
Experienced leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in working with Python, C#, Typescript, HLSL, CG
Experienced in creating tools and automation for one or more packages like Maya, Houdini, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, ZBrush, Knald, Marmoset, Photoshop, etc

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
