Job Description
SciPlay is seeking a Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain server-side code, primarily in PHP, for mobile games. The role involves analyzing and resolving server-side bottlenecks and errors to ensure efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities include contributing to the development of new gameplay features and interfaces, collaborating within an Agile framework, and working with technologies like SQL, Jenkins, HTML, JS, and Python. The ideal candidate should have over 2 years of server development experience, proficiency in Git, and strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Must have:
- 2+ years of experience in server development
- Git proficiency
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable server systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex server-side issues
- Strong documentation skills
- Strong collaborative and proactive mindset
Good to have:
- PHP experience is an advantage

Position Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain server-side code for a mobile game , primarily written in PHP.
- Analyze, identify, and eliminate bottlenecks and errors on the server-side to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to the development of new/innovative game play features and interfaces.
- Follow Agile methodologies to collaborate effectively within the team.
- Work with various technologies, including SQL, Jenkins, HTML, JS and Python.
- Contribute to the development of new and innovative gameplay features and interfaces.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in server development
- PHP - advantage.
- Git proficiency.
- Fast learner.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance server systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex server-side issues.
- Strong documentation skills for code, processes, and system architecture.
- Strong collaborative and proactive mindset with a sense of ownership.
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing in a dynamic game development environment.
