Brillio is seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to support data integration and transformation efforts on Snowflake. This role involves assisting in ETL development, monitoring Kafka data ingestion, and performing data mapping tasks. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Senior Engineer to deliver high-quality, well-documented data assets. Responsibilities include building and testing ETL jobs using Talend, supporting Kafka data ingestion pipelines, executing data mapping, writing and optimizing SQL queries for Snowflake, and participating in debugging and QA processes. The role requires experience with Snowflake dialects, data engineering or development, basic Snowflake concepts, Kafka, ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, or dbt, and strong attention to detail.
Must have:
  • Snowflake dialects experience
  • 1-3 years data engineering experience
  • ETL tools experience (Talend, Informatica, dbt)
  • SQL query optimization for Snowflake
  • Data mapping and documentation skills
  • Kafka exposure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
Good to have:
  • Basic understanding of Snowflake concepts
  • Working with streaming/real-time data

Snowflake Data Engineer will support data integration and transformation efforts on Snowflake by assisting in ETL development, Kafka data ingestion monitoring, and data mapping tasks. This role will work under the guidance of the Senior Engineer to deliver high-quality, well-documented data assets
 
Key Responsibilities:
         Assist in building and testing ETL jobs using Talend.
         Support Kafka-based data ingestion pipelines by monitoring and managing data flow.
         Execute data mapping tasks, ensuring source-target alignment and documentation.
         Write and optimize SQL queries for Snowflake-based transformations and reports.
         Participate in debugging, error resolution, and QA processes.
 
Key Skills:
         Experience in Snowflake dialects
         1–3 years of experience in data engineering or development roles.
         Basic understanding of Snowflake concepts (warehousing, views, roles, etc.).
         Exposure to Kafka concepts and working with streaming or real-time data.
         Hands-on experience or training in ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, or dbt.
         Good understanding of data structures, data types, and mapping logic.
         Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
