Job Description

Apple is seeking an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) for their Hardware Technologies team. This role focuses on driving power, performance, and thermal feature convergence across hardware and software to optimize customer experience for the best power efficiency and performance within product limits. The position operates at the intersection of SoCs and products, leading investigations for complex silicon and system debugs, and culminating in executive-level reviews of power, performance, and thermal designs. Responsibilities include driving silicon readiness and post-silicon phases, including bring-up preparation, hardware/software control feature integration, validation, and mass-production support. The role requires influencing large teams, tracking and reporting program risks and timelines, effectively communicating complex issues and resolution options, and driving feature workflows for high-quality product releases. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creative and critical thinking, collaboration, conflict resolution, and timely issue resolution.

This activity culminates into executive-level reviews of power, performance, and thermal designs, driving convergence across product, SW and HW teams.
This role covers silicon readiness and post-silicon phase of the product life cycle - including silicon bring-up preparation, HW/SW control feature integration, validation, and product mass-production support for Apple’s next generation products. - Ability to influence large teams; develop and communicate the bigger picture. - Focused tracking, organizing and reporting of program risks and timelines. - Ability to extract executive summaries and effectively communicate resolution options on sophisticated, multi-functional and complex issues. - Drive feature workflows to guarantee high quality execution and product release. - Proven creative and critical thinking, collaboration, conflict resolution and timely issue resolution.
