Job Description
Google is seeking a Software Engineer II to work on a BigQuery Catalog project. This role involves designing, implementing, and launching new features and components for a platform onboarding metadata from BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and other sources. The position focuses on the customer-facing aspects of this metadata platform. Responsibilities include managing project priorities and deadlines, participating in monitoring and debugging, and supporting frequent releases. The ideal candidate will have experience with full-stack development (Kotlin, Java, Python, GO, or C++ backend; JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS frontend), data structures and algorithms, and ideally system design and cloud computing. This is a full-time position in Kraków, Poland.

Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year experience with data structures or algorithms
- 1 year full-stack development experience (Kotlin, Java, Python, GO, or C++ backend; JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS frontend)
- Experience developing applications using Kotlin
- Design, implement, and launch new features
- Participate in monitoring and debugging
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Kotlin, Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
- Experience developing applications using Kotlin.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with full stack development, with back-end such as Kotlin, Java, Python, GO, or C++.
- Experience with System Design.
- Experience with Cloud Computing.
