Job Description

As part of FICO’s highly scalable and cloud-native analytics and decision platform, the Software Engineer will play a key role in building the next generation of platform capabilities. You will contribute to designing and developing robust, high-performance software stacks using AWS technologies, ensuring seamless scalability, security, and reliability. This role involves significant coding contributions, test-driven development, and participation in an Agile Scrum process.
Must have:
  • Making a significant coding contribution to the design and development of a cloud-native software platform.
  • Create high-quality, verified implementations employing test driven development.
  • Ensure your code is maintainable, performant, and safeguards customer data.
  • Participate in an Agile Scrum process, delivering planned Sprint work to the definition of done.
  • Building software stacks using AWS technologies.
  • Java/Spring Boot software development.
  • Scripting language experience with Javascript, Typescript, Bash.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks e.g. Jasmine, Cypress.
  • Ability to debug, analyze, and optimize the performance of a distributed system.

The Opportunity

You will contribute to designing and developing robust, high-performance software stacks using AWS technologies, ensuring seamless scalability, security, and reliability​”– VP, Software Engineering.

What You’ll Contribute

  • Making a significant coding contribution to the design and development of a cloud-native software platform.
  • Create high-quality, verified implementations employing test driven development.
  • Ensure you code is maintainable, performant, and safeguards customer data.
  • Have the opportunity to learn new skills in other functional areas of the product.
  • Participate in an Agile Scrum process, delivering planned Sprint work to the definition of done.

What We’re Seeking

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related disciplines, or relevant software development experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ Experience in building software stacks using AWS technologies.
  • Minimum 4+ Years’ Experience in a Java/Spring Boot software development role.
  • Scripting language experience with Javascript, Typescript, Bash.
  • Software stack development experience desirable, AWS technologies preferred.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks e.g. Jasmine, Cypress.
  • Ability to debug, analyze, and optimize the performance of a distributed system.
  • Ability to work well as part of a geographically diverse team.
