Job Summary
Job Description
The job involves software development for embedded Linux systems throughout the entire development cycle, including design, implementation, unit testing, documentation, error analysis, and troubleshooting. The role also entails feature development for optical monitoring systems, particularly the definition and implementation of signal processing algorithms (e.g., denoising, event detection in OTDR traces), preferably in C/C++. Close collaboration with electronics, optics, system testing departments, and software developers at international locations is required, along with cooperation with technical service to address customer issues promptly. The team is expanding and seeking talented individuals to contribute to its continued success.
Must have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar
- Very good knowledge of C/C++ and Linux
- Good knowledge of system theory, signal analysis, and signal processing
Good to have:
- Experience with OTDR technology and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Python, Bash scripts, and embedded Linux systems

Aufgaben
- Software Entwicklung für Embedded Linux-Systeme über den kompletten Entwicklungszyklen (Design, Implementierung, Unit Test, Dokumentation, Fehleranalyse und Fehlerbehebung)
- Feature Entwicklung für optischen Monitoring-Systeme, insbesondere die Definition und die Implementierung von Algorithmen zur Signalverarbeitung (z.B. Denoising, Eventdetektion in OTDR-Traces), vorzugsweise in C/C++
- Enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Fachbereichen Elektronik, Optik und Systemtest und Softwareentwicklern an unseren internationalen Standorten
- Zusammenarbeit mit dem Technischen Service zur zeitnahen Lösung von Kundenproblemen
Anforderungen
- Studium in Informatik, Mathematik oder ähnlichem
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in C/C++ und Linux
- Gute Kenntnisse bzgl. Systemtheorie, Signalanalyse und Signalverarbeitung
- Erfahrungen bzgl. OTDR-Technologie und Datenbank-Management-Systemen (z.B. PostgreSQL) sind von Vorteil
- Erfahrungen mit Python, Bash Scripts und Embedded Linux Systemen sind von Vorteil
- Teamfähigkeit
- Eigeninitiative und strukturierte Arbeitsweise
- Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
