Job Description

ByteDance's Network Security team is seeking a talented Software Engineer to design and build innovative network security products and solutions. You will be responsible for developing products like DDoS Defense, Web Application Security, Bot Management, and Network Detection and Response. You will also support ByteDance businesses with custom-built network security solutions to meet compliance and security requirements. This role requires strong experience with Linux networking, C/Golang, and TCP/IP.

Must have:

B.S. or advanced degree in Computer Science
2+ years experience with networking development under Linux
Detailed knowledge of Linux TCP/IP networking stack
Experience with C and/or Golang
Highly motivated, positive, detail-oriented, and responsible

Good to have:

Experience with XDP/eBPF
Experience of Network Security (e.g., Firewall, VPN, DDoS, SSL Proxies etc.)
Experience with virtualization/container/cloud technologies
Experience in designing/implementing large-scale distributed systems

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - B.S. or advanced degree in Computer Science or other relevant majors - 2+ years of experience with networking-related development under Linux environment, especially in C and/or Golang - Detailed knowledge of Linux TCP/IP networking stack, experience with XDP/eBPF is valuable - Highly motivated, positive, detail-oriented, and responsible Preferred Qualifications - Experience of Network Security (e.g., Firewall, VPN, DDoS, SSL Proxies etc.) is a big plus - Experience with virtualization/container/cloud technologies is plus - Experience in designing/implementing large-scale distributed systems ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $187040 - $280000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care. ​
