Patreon is looking for a Staff Product Designer for its Podcasting team to support its mission of funding the creative class. The role will involve discovering company-level opportunities, creating high-fidelity prototypes, working with Research, Product, and Engineering teams, developing innovative patterns and systems, creating and collaborating on prototypes and visuals, contributing to product overhauls, and owning and shipping key parts of the core Patreon product. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience crafting end-to-end product design experiences, a portfolio demonstrating world-class customer experiences, strong organization and execution skills, experience in design thinking methodologies, a deep commitment to craft & product excellence, a humble, collaborative, and service-oriented approach, and a bias towards action.

Patreon is a media and community platform where creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. Over 300k creators are cultivating fandoms and building their businesses each month. Creators can offer free memberships to fans looking to explore more of their work, paid memberships to give access to exclusive media and community, or sell directly to fans with Shops.

We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator products with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Staff Product Designer for our Podcasting team to support our mission.

This role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About the Role 

  • Proactively discover company-level opportunities and help bring clarity and insight through high-fidelity prototypes and expert storytelling

  • Work closely with Research, Product and Engineering to identify, plan, scope and execute end-to-end design solutions

  • Work across the entire design organization to develop innovative patterns and systems that are durable, repeatable and achieve a high standard for craft

  • Create, collaborate, and iterate on prototypes, high-fidelity visuals, and key flows

  • Contribute to the visioning, sequencing, tactics, and execution of a multi-phased overhaul of the product

  • Own, redefine, and ship key parts of the core Patreon product

About You 

  • 7+ years of crafting end-to-end product design experiences

  • Portfolio with demonstrated evidence of shipping world-class customer experiences that have made a significant impact on business metrics

  • Deep organization and execution skills, especially in collaboration with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience in design thinking methodologies to lead teams toward user-centered outcomes

  • A deep commitment to craft & product excellence

  • A humble, collaborative, and service-oriented approach to your career

Compensation Range: $204K - $276K
