Job Description

Autodesk is seeking an experienced Professional Services Manager (Software Development - Application) to lead a mission to create software tools for buildings, machines, and movies. The role involves fostering collaboration and creativity, distilling business value into roadmaps, and building better products. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a growth mindset, comfortable managing stakeholders, and driving success in multi-disciplinary teams. They will oversee external customer projects and define consulting strategies to maximize ROI and accelerate adoption of Autodesk solutions.

  • Experience with delivery of cloud infrastructure automation, DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Having lead a team of AI/ML engineers.

  • Collaborate with business to identify new requirements and lead technology team to deliver them.
  • Partner with other application development teams for front-to-back solutions.
  • Extensive experience with application development using latest technology stack for service-oriented architecture.
  • Deep understanding of data models.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

  • Leads and manages a team of Developers (Front End, Backend), QA & Automation Developer.

  • Creates and maintains staffing plan to support current and future work demands.
  • Oversees strategic roadmap with Global Delivery Hub to ensure successful adoption of Autodesk solutions.
  • Builds business plans in collaboration with senior management.
  • Ensures the team delivers services to customers.
  • Enables team to establish and maintain excellent collaboration with wider Enterprise Customer Success.
  • Maintains a competent level of technical expertise and keeps abreast of technology industry trends.
  • Proactively engages with customers and Autodesk stakeholders to stay on top of project requirements.
  • Manages and monitors team’s performance to ensure successful project completion.
  • Identifies, anticipates, and tackles technical issues, applying well-rounded judgment decisions.
  • 12+ years of technical leadership experience in technology, preferably in Financial Services.
  • 8+ years product management experience with 5+ years on software and/or developer platforms.
  • Experience managing delivery of at least 1 hardware/software product/service and multiple on-going initiatives simultaneously.
  • Cross-functional communication and collaboration experience.
  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe).
  • Experience in planning and prioritizing product feature backlog and developing detailed product feature specifications.
  • Deep knowledge in assessing value, developing cases, and prioritizing stories, epics, and themes.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Scala, and big data tools like PySpark.
  • Experience with relational SQL databases and AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, Glue, Lambda, RDS, or Redshift).
  • Experience working with APIs to pull and push data, and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.

We are seeking an experienced Professional Services Manager {Software Development (Application)} to lead the charge on this mission. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and real-world experience distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most importantly, you will be integral to helping us build better products that people love to use.

You will drive success in a multi-disciplinary team and operate in a matrix environment. You will oversee external customer projects from initiation through to completion. You will play an active role in defining consulting strategies which maximize a customer’s return on investment and accelerate adoption with current and future Autodesk solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, documentation and support of high quality, reliable applications to meet the business needs
  • Collaborate with the business to identify new business requirements and lead the technology team to deliver those requirements
  • Partner with the other application development teams to provide front to back solutions that benefit our customers
  • Having an oversight responsibility for the related Technologies teams in Enterprise Consulting
  • Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Extensive experience with application development using the latest technology stack for a service-oriented architecture and deep understanding of data models with a view on application of these technologies
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and negotiations skills
  • Highly efficient in defining and meeting SLAs in order to satisfy and meet aggressive project timelines, and critical spontaneous requests
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written; articulate; must be able to communicate effectively with business executives

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of technical leadership experience in technology, preferably in Financial Services out of which 8 + years product management experience with 5 + years of experience on software and/or developer platforms
  • Experience managing delivery of at least 1 hardware/software product/service
  • Experience managing and overseeing multiple on-going initiatives simultaneously
  • Cross-functional communication and collaboration experience
  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
  • Experience in plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Experience in develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by the agile teams
  • Deep knowledge in assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy
  • Experience in serve as the product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Scala
  • Experience with big data tools such as PySpark
  • Experience with relational SQL databases
  • Experience with AWS cloud services used often for data engineering including S3, EC2, Glue, Lambda, RDS, or Redshift
  • Experience working with APIs to pull and push data.
  • Advanced working SQL experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) and working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Experience optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Having lead a team of AI/ ML engineers will be an added advantage
