Job Description
The Telecom Engineer role at Internet Brands involves supporting all aspects of telecommunications, including voice and video. The engineer will implement existing and new technologies, especially those from acquisitions, with a focus on the Five9 platform. Key responsibilities include configuring and supporting network equipment, administering and troubleshooting telephony solutions, designing and implementing new solutions, assisting with problem resolution, managing user access, implementing solutions at new acquisitions, developing disaster recovery plans, monitoring system performance, managing vendor relationships, applying security requirements, performing preventive maintenance, and developing support procedures. The role requires extensive experience with Five9 telephony solutions, strong understanding of VoIP, AV, and network-related environments, and the ability to resolve technical support requests ranging from tier 1 to 3 issues. The starting salary for this role is $80K.

- Developer experience, including scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with CRM like Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics.
- Certifications in Five9 or other listed platforms.
Must Have:

Required Qualifications:
● Extensive experience with Five9 telephony solutions (configuration, administration, and troubleshooting).
● Familiarity with RingCentral, Avaya, and other telephony platforms.
● Strong understanding of VoIP, AV, and network-related environments.
● Experience in implementing and supporting telephony solutions for business continuity.
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (experience in lieu of education is preferred).

Key Responsibilities Include:
● Configure and support network equipment for voice and video applications, with a focus on Five9.
● Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Five9 telephony solutions to ensure optimal performance.
● Design, implement, and support new telephony solutions that meet business objectives.
● Assist Tier 1 resources in problem identification and resolution related to telecommunications.
● Manage user access to systems and equipment, including account management and password
administration.
● Implement Internet Brands telephony solutions at new acquisitions.
● Develop and maintain disaster recovery and contingency operation plans for voice services.
● Monitor and analyze system performance, including network traffic, security, and capacity.
● Manage telecom vendor relationships, including vendor product roadmaps and problem resolution.
● Understand and apply security requirements to VoIP, AV, and other network-related environments.
● Perform preventive maintenance, backups, and recovery procedures as needed.
● Develop procedures for Tier 1 support related to telecommunications operations and day-to-day user management.
● Resolve ticket requests for technical support ranging from tier 1 - 3 issues.
