Job Description

As a Test Lead specializing in Embedded Device Testing at HCLTech, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for embedded systems projects. This involves planning, deploying, and managing all testing activities to meet client and internal requirements while adhering to high-quality standards. You will lead discussions with stakeholders, oversee the development of automated testing processes using Python, and mentor the QA team to enhance their capabilities and productivity. The role requires developing and improving automated tests, designing scalable test automation frameworks, developing test strategies, and generating status reports to minimize project risks. The candidate must understand embedded device testing methodologies and collaborate with stakeholders.

Must have:

Understand embedded device testing methodologies and best practices.
Proficiency in Python programming for test automation.
Experience with test strategy development in embedded systems.
Familiarity with automated testing tools for embedded devices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Test Lead - Embedded Device Testing

Job Summary
As a Test Lead specializing in Embedded Device Testing, you will be responsible for planning, deploying, and managing the testing efforts for embedded systems projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that all testing activities align with client and internal requirements while adhering to the highest quality standards. You will lead discussions with stakeholders, oversee the development of automated testing processes, and mentor the QA team to enhance their capabilities and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
1. Engage In Functional And Technical Discussions With Clients And Team Members To Understand Functional And Design Specifications, Identify Performance Concerns, And Prepare Automated Test Scripts For Embedded Devices, Ensuring The Maintenance Of An Up-To-Date Test Case Suite And Test Environments.
2. Develop And Continuously Improve Automated Tests In Python For Embedded Systems As New Features And Enhancements Are Introduced, Creating Comprehensive Work Plans And Closely Monitoring Progress For Timely Delivery While Meeting Defined Quality Standards.
3. Design And Implement Scalable Test Automation Frameworks Using Python, Develop Test Strategies And Plans, Maintain Accurate Test Data, And Generate Status Reports To Minimize Project Risks And Manage Escalations Effectively.
4. Mentor And Guide Qa Engineers In Leveraging The Testing Framework, Enhancing Their Technical Skills In Embedded Device Testing, And Improving Overall Team Productivity Through Knowledge Sharing And Support.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Embedded Device Testing Methodologies And Best Practices.
2. Proficiency In Python Programming For Test Automation.
3. Solid Experience With Test Strategy Development And Implementation In Embedded Systems.
4. Familiarity With Automated Testing Tools And Frameworks Relevant To Embedded Device Testing.
5. Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Facilitate Discussions With Stakeholders.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Istqb Certified Tester, Certified Agile Tester (Cat), Or Relevant Training In Embedded Systems Testing.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
