1. Department's Development Area, Business Overview, and Role/Position within R&D

As powertrain structures become increasingly complex due to electrification, experimental technical skills to ensure system-level quality are required. In this environment, this position is responsible for setting functional reliability targets and conducting experimental evaluations for all powertrains (motors, batteries, engines, drivetrains) in new vehicle development, aiming to provide attractive products to customers that balance quality and cost. It is expected that by gaining experience in evaluation method planning and analysis, one can advance to a specialist or manager in experimental evaluation in the future.

2. Specific Job Responsibilities

• Understand vehicle and system usage/requirements, and utilize reliability engineering to set functional reliability targets for each powertrain system that meets market demands.
• Conduct experimental evaluations using actual vehicles and system components to determine if the target powertrain meets the set targets.
• Analyze the obtained experimental results and propose improvements to functional reliability targets and systems.

Workplace Environment and Work Style

The team consists of approximately 20 members. It is a flat organization with members of various ages, including international and mid-career hires, where everyone, including young members, can actively voice their opinions. We collaborate with other departments, parts suppliers, and overseas bases to advance development.

In a rapidly innovating technological landscape, coordination with surrounding parts and systems is emphasized, and flexible thinking and teamwork are highly valued.

Hiring Requirements

MUST

• Possess general knowledge of mechanical engineering and reliability engineering, or have the willingness to acquire it.
• TOEIC score: 600 points or higher.

WANT

• Experience in product development using mechanical engineering and reliability engineering.
• Willingness to proactively set and solve functional reliability issues in automotive development.
• TOEIC score: 650 points or higher.

Monthly Salary (Reference Value)

323,000 JPY to 439,000 JPY
