Job Summary
This role focuses on the end-to-end development of brake systems for next-generation vehicles, adapting to the increasing adoption of electrification and autonomous driving technologies. Responsibilities include designing system configurations, developing components like electric brake boosters and parking brake systems, and integrating them for regenerative cooperative control and advanced driving assistance functions. The engineer will lead component development with suppliers, collaborate on brake control and autonomous driving systems, and oversee vehicle and component evaluations, including for high-performance sports cars like the GT-R.
Must Have
- Degree in mechanical engineering, vibration engineering, materials engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, control, or information engineering fields.
- Experience in automotive parts or machine development, including specification creation and evaluation planning.
- Valid driver's license.

- Experience in developing brake system related parts (e.g., caliper, rotor, VDC/ESC, booster).
- Experience in developing chassis parts (e.g., steering, suspension).

① Department's Development Area, Business Overview, and Role/Position within R&D
As automobiles become more high-performance with the increasing adoption of electrification and autonomous driving technologies, brake systems must constantly evolve. Therefore, we conduct end-to-end development of brake systems to be installed in next-generation vehicles, from system configuration design to component development. (e.g., development of regenerative cooperative control using electric brake boosters and electric parking brake systems, and brake systems to support driving assistance functions). We also develop high-performance brake systems for Nissan's representative sports cars such as the GT-R.
② Specific Job Responsibilities and Expected Role/Position within and outside the Department
You will lead the design of brake system configurations for new vehicles, the study of component characteristics and specifications, and joint component development with suppliers. You will also develop the vehicle's brake system in collaboration with related brake control systems and autonomous driving support systems. In the vehicle and component evaluation phases, you will be required to collaborate with suppliers and internal testing personnel to solve various technical challenges, and you are expected to take a leading role in these activities.

Annual Salary Range (Reference Value)
