As a Test Operation Engineer, you will take ownership of the operational aspects of product testing at our subcontract assembly and test locations. You will be responsible for first level debugging of test programs and test hardware, as well as managing production release qualifications. You will support Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by driving test robustness improvements—including yield, stability, correlation, and test time—through collaboration with other functional divisions. This position interfaces with the Product Team, Test Development, Equipment Team, Operations personnel, and subcontractor staff.
Must have:
  • Understand and resolve daily operational issues by working with the respective OSAT PIC, including setups, allocations, inventories, test program releases, etc.
  • Support first-level test program debugging (ETS-88, ASL1000) and provide feedback with data to the relevant business unit.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and automation by analyzing test data to identify trends, test issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure timely transfer of engineering and production test packages for wafer sort and final test to various test sites.
  • Interact with Asian facilities regarding product engineering, test engineering, equipment, and IT infrastructure sustenance matters.
Good to have:
  • Experience in production support and new product introduction
  • prior experience with ETS-88 and ASL1000 ATE systems
  • Strong fundamental understanding of statistical analysis (Six Sigma)
  • ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements
  • proficiency in other languages

Test Operation Engineer

As a Test Operation Engineer, you will take ownership of the operational aspects of product testing at our subcontract assembly and test locations. You will be responsible for first level debugging of test programs and test hardware, as well as managing production release qualifications. You will support Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by driving test robustness improvements—including yield, stability, correlation, and test time—through collaboration with other functional divisions. We expect all our test operation personnel to innovate and drive operational and quality excellence. This position interfaces with the Product Team, Test Development, Equipment Team, Operations personnel, and subcontractor staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and resolve daily operational issues by working with the respective OSAT PIC, including setups, allocations, inventories, test program releases, etc.
  • Support first-level test program debugging (ETS-88, ASL1000) and provide feedback with data to the relevant business unit.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and automation by analyzing test data to identify trends, test issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure timely transfer of engineering and production test packages for wafer sort and final test to various test sites.
  • Interact with Asian facilities regarding product engineering, test engineering, equipment, and IT infrastructure sustenance matters.

Education and Professional Experience:

  • BSEE or equivalent, MSEE preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in analog product test engineering. Experience in production support and new product introduction is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Visual C++ programming; prior experience with ETS-88 and ASL1000 ATE systems is a plus.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of statistical analysis (Six Sigma) and ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements is desired.
  • Task-focused and capable of working independently. Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel to various Asian factory locations as needed (10% to 30%).
