Exciting Opportunity: Senior Software Developer (Platform Operations - Continuous Integration)

As a Senior DevOps Developer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing scalable and efficient solutions that enhance our ability to deliver top-notch cloud-based services. You'll have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Software Developers, and Infrastructure Engineers, to deeply understand business requirements and transform them into impactful technical solutions. Your role will involve designing, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications, as well as driving the adoption of best practices in workflow automation and platform engineering.

In this role, your contributions will directly support Nasdaq Verafin's mission to combat serious crimes such as human trafficking, elder abuse, and drug trafficking. You'll be a part of a passionate team dedicated to making a real difference in the world. What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of applications
• Implement and optimize automated build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions that enhance workflow automation
• Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to ensure high availability and performance, reducing downtime and mitigating risks
• Drive the adoption of best practices in CI/CD, Platform Engineering, and software development, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in CI/CD technologies, tools, and methodologies, applying them to enhance Nasdaq Verafin’s capabilities

What We're Looking For:

• A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years development experience
• A pragmatic approach, and a "let's do this" attitude.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, GitHub Enterprise Server, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Develocity
• Experience in Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix, Scripting (Python etc.), and Databases (SQL)
• Strong analytical skills and creativity to solve complex problems
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with AI in CICD pipelines would be an asset
• Willingness to ask for help, learn from, and mentor others
• Top-notch interpersonal and organizational skills making teamwork a positive experience

This position can be located in St. John’s or Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
