Apple is looking for an Senior Analyst with high analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to join the WW Retail Finance - Commercial Programs team, which supports Apple Retail’s growth initiatives for both stores and online, including Trade-In, Monthly Payments, Upgrade Programs, Carriers Programs and special projects. The position requires the ability to complete complex financial and performance analyses, work cross-functionally across Apple and local teams in region, develop and execute business strategies, and recommend and present business updates to executive leaders. The ideal candidate is able to balance financial, brand, and customer considerations.
Retail’s commercial programs include consumer financing, upgrade programs, Apple Trade In, Retail SMB, carrier programs and offers, Apple Card initiatives, and more! These critical sales levers are key to Retail’s continued growth and customer affinity. In this fast-paced, high exposure global role on the Worldwide team, you will interact regularly with Retail and Apple leadership, providing decision support on go-to-market strategy, program roadmap, promotions and associated marketing activities. Key business partners include: Retail Commercial Development, Product Marketing, Apple Financial Services, WW Sales Finance, and Retail’s GEO Finance/business teams. Key responsibilities include: - Analyze performance of various initiatives and provide leadership updates and recommendations - Partner with finance and non-finance teams to define business strategies for new and existing sales programs and promotions - Work across a range of teams to develop business cases that capture expected financial impacts of new initiatives across key KPIs of units, revenue and margin - Work across Retail and non-Retail finance teams to ensure alignment on financial design for new programs and initiatives - Identify program cost savings or efficiency opportunities to optimize financials - Own financial forecasts and partner with accounting teams on quarter-end activities - Evolve data and tool capabilities to streamline work and elevate quality of insights
- 3+ years of Finance / Business experience in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other quantitative field
- Independent, self-motivated and exhibits the highest standards of accuracy and organization skills
- Ability to perform quantitative and financial analyses; able to work comfortably with incomplete information while dealing with ambiguity
- Strong business acumen and high intellectual curiosity, with interest in Apple’s products, services, technology, business, and strategy
- Must be able to think strategically on critical business issues, while simultaneously possessing the ability to act tactically to execute against them
- Strong prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Extraordinarily detail-oriented, while able to keep sight of the “big picture”
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; experienced at presenting effectively to executives
- Passion for automating and improving processes, and drive to adopt latest technology tools at our disposal
- Comfortable applying general accounting principles
