A 3D generalist is a multi-talented professional capable of managing various facets of the 3D production process, including modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation, rendering, and compositing. They embody versatility, adaptability, and creativity, making them well-suited for diverse projects and genres. 

Here's what you can expect:

  • Profile Preselection: Our Talent Acquisition team will review your profile to ensure it aligns with our requirements and values
  • Talent Acquisition Interview: Selected candidates will undergo an initial interview to discuss about their experience, skills, and fit for the role.
  • Online Test: Qualified candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment to demonstrate their abilities.
  • Technical Interview: Finalists will participate in a technical interview to assess their proficiency and compatibility with our team when a project staffing plan is made.

The Quest: 

  • Concept Interpretation: Translate 2D concepts and references into high-quality 3D models or sculpts with accurate fidelity to the original design while adding all the necessary details to achieve leveling, style and craftsmanship with minimal direction. 
  • High Poly Modeling and Sculpting: Use industry-standard 3D modeling and sculpting software  to create detailed and story telling models with accurate proportions, craftsmanship, funcionality and accurate materials representation, while matching the artistic style required for any project. 
  • Low Poly and Mid Poly Creation: Create the game-ready 3D model version of any sculpt or high poly, with a clean, optimized and smartly prioritized topology with efficient uvs and achieving the technical requirements of any project. 
  • Textures Creation:  Use industry-standard software like photoshop and substance painter to create all the high quality and highly detailed texture maps required to achieve an accurate materials representation, while matching the artistic style required for any project. 
  • Rigging and Animation Support: Collaborate with animators and riggers to prepare 3D models for animation by providing clean topology and rig-friendly meshes. Assist in the creation of rigging systems for characters and objects, and ensure proper integration of animations into the game engine. 
  • Optimization and Performance: Optimize 3D assets for performance and memory usage without sacrificing visual quality  implementing LODs and other optimization techniques. 
  • Asset integration: Export assets and integrate them in a videogame engine.  
  • Efficient time management:Work efficiently to achieve the estimated times for each phase and punctually meet the delivery date. 
  • Teamwork: Collaborate  and work closely with other artists to be a problem solver and foresee and communicate on time any quality, technical or delivery issue that may affect the project. 
  • Puntuality:Present your progress on a daily basis and/or when requested and assist on time to any meeting, call or communication request. 

The Skills: 

  • Strong polygonal modeling skills being able to generate clean, efficient, well integrated and leveled models to the requirements of a particular project. 
  • Full understanding of the technical foundations  to manage assets to fit memory and performance considerations. 
  • Strong artistic sensibilities related to color theory, composition, scale, design, shape language  while understanding the logic of craftsmanship basics, proportions and industrial design. 
  • PBR Workflow and efficient/well organized texture creation with a strong understanding of the fundamentals behind physically- based workflow, while achieving a believable asset that captures the story behind it. 
  • Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine. 
  • High degree of self-direction, but also a great team-player with a strong verbal and written communication, willing to seek help and feedback from others and give it in return. Being extremely proactive and open to direction and iteration. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical and artistic challenges in 3D asset creation. 
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard pipelines, workflows and asset exporting process. 
  • Quick learner of new processes and software as needed. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in the videogame industry and at least 3 credited game 

Software Expertise 

  • Maya, 3DS Max, blender or equivalent Software. 
  • Unreal Engine 5 and Unity 
  • Zbrush 
  • Adobe Photoshop 
  • Substance Painter 
  • Substance Designer is a plus.
