Job Summary
This role involves interpreting concept art to create virtual characters, environments, and props, adhering to design guidelines and technical constraints. The 3D Modeller cum Texturer will prototype and iterate on models based on feedback, optimize geometry, rig characters for animation, and apply colors and textures. Responsibilities also include creating UV and occlusion maps, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying updated with 3D design tools. Candidates need 3-6 years of experience in modelling and texturing, proficiency in Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Mari, a keen eye for detail, and knowledge of character design and animation techniques.

Responsibilities

- Prototype and iterate on models and characters based on feedback from team members
- Optimize, refine and correct model geometry
- Rig models and characters for animation
- Color characters, add Textures and shade the given characters based on material used
- Create textures that generate visual interest and define the characteristics.
- Generate the output within the time frame by understanding the desired output.
- Create UV map and Occlusion map
- Work with artists, animators and programmers to execute projects on time
- Keep abreast with the latest developments in 3D design, capture and modeling tools and technologies
Requirements
- 3-6yrs of Experience in Modelling and Texturing both
- Should possess experience in Maya, Zbrush for Modelling and Substance Painter, Mari for Texturing.
- An eye for detail and good visualization skills
- Ability to take feedback and make changes as required
- Knowledge of character design, rigging, skinning, UV Maps and Textures etc.
- Some familiarity with animation techniques
