Job Summary

The FX Lead - VFX is responsible for designing, creating, and implementing high-quality photo-real effects such as water, fire, smoke, explosions, clouds, debris, and magical elements. This role involves understanding and adapting to the studio's pipeline, collaborating with TDs to improve FX processes, and providing creative and technical approvals for the team's output. The lead will follow the creative direction of the VFX Supervisor, stay updated with new technologies, and mentor team members.

Must Have

  • Design, create and implement high quality photo-real effects including Water, Fire, Smoke, Explosions, Clouds, Debris, and Magical.
  • Understand and work within the studio/show structure / pipeline and guide the team members to adapt the flow.
  • Work with TDs and Pipeline to improve FX processes.
  • Check on the output of the team and give creative, technical approvals.
  • Follow the creative direction set by the production and communicated by the VFX Supervisor.
  • Minimum Experience of 8 to 10 years (with live action experience).
  • Proficiency in Maya (Fur, Golem, Bifrost, Fluids, Particle System, Phoenix FD, Krakatoa).
  • Proficiency in Houdini.
  • Proficiency in Max (Rayfire, Fume FX, Tyflow).
  • Proficiency in Real Flow.
  • Proficiency in Nuke (for Pre-Comp).

  • Good Team player and mentor both.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in order to deliver on time and on budget.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Job Description

Stays current with latest technologies, methods, and workflows.

Mentor artists and Provide feedback to your team as required.

Qualification:

Minimum Experience of 8 to 10yrs (with live action experience)

Needs to know Maya (Fur, Golem, Bifrost, Fluids,Particle System,Phoenix FD,Krakatoa)

Houdini, Max (Rayfire,Fume FX.Tyflow) & Real Flow ,Nuke (for Pre- Comp).

Good Team player and mentor both.

Ability to work under tight deadlines in order to deliver on time and on budget

Excellent communication and organizational skills
