Job Summary
As part of the production of the game Star Wars Eclipse™, QUANTIC DREAM is recruiting a Physic Artist (CFX) to strengthen their Character Tech-Art team. This team is responsible for setting up clothing, hair, and dynamic element simulation, as well as the character production pipeline. Key missions include setting up and optimizing simulations in the game engine for realistic real-time rendering, collaborating with other teams, and ensuring performance while maintaining visual quality.
Must Have
- At least 5 years of experience as a technical artist specializing in clothing, hair, or accessory simulation on AAA projects or in animated films.
- Experience with simulation tools (Houdini, Marvelous Designer, nCloth, etc.) and their integration into game engines (Unreal, Unity, or proprietary engines).
- Experience with 3D software (Maya, Blender).
- Strong command of physical simulation and animation principles.
- Good understanding of realistic fabric and hair movements in realistic video game environments.

Your missions
- Set up the simulation of clothing, hair, and accessories for characters.
- Integrate, optimize, and act on the simulation in the game engine, ensuring realistic and fluid real-time rendering.
- Work closely with the modeling, animation, and rigging teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Ensure that simulations respect performance constraints while maintaining a high level of visual quality.
Your qualities that will make the difference
- At least 5 years of experience as a technical artist with a specialization in clothing, hair, or accessory simulation on AAA projects or in animated films.
