Job Description

Syniverse is seeking an Account Executive II, an advanced individual contributor focused on developing new markets and channel opportunities to drive revenue growth. This hunter/account management role involves seeking new opportunities with new customers and partners, ensuring alignment with internal products, technical feasibility, and business benefits. Responsibilities include new customer attainment through strategic selling, building client relationships, delivering sales presentations, negotiating and closing deals, surfacing new ideas, attending industry events, and maintaining a sales funnel. The role also involves reporting and administrative activities, analyzing expenses, preparing sales reports, and maintaining accuracy in online systems like Salesforce.com. Additionally, there's a focus on existing customer/partner growth and retention through strategic selling and proactive engagement with internal teams.

Who We're Looking For

The Account Executive II is an advanced level individual contributor, who is focused on developing new markets and possibly new channel opportunities that has both top line revenue growth, and growth impact to Syniverse. This Hunter/Account Management position will seek out new opportunities with new customers, Partners, and market segments. This role will work closely with all facets of the organization, to ensure there are internal product alignment, technical feasibility and critical business benefits.

Some of What You'll Do

New customer attainment through strategic selling skills.

  • Hunt new market opportunities within existing and new customer base.
  • Build relationships with clients and Partners, deliver sales presentations, negotiate and close deals.
  • Negotiate and close Indirect Channel deals, including supporting partners with complex deals.
  • Surfaces new ideas, services, and product opportunities.
  • Establishes, develops, strengthens and maintains relationships with people at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Engages appropriate resources to build compelling value propositions.
  • Develop market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Attends industry events in order to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight and represent the firm in the marketplace.
  • Consistently maintain a solid customer or channel funnel that supports and exceeds revenue forecasts
  • Strategically assist in the development of new customer and partner planning sessions and reviews to ensure organizational alignment with customer and partner needs and desires.

Perform reporting and administrative activities.

  • Analyze and controls expenses for their area to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client or partner base expansion.
  • Maintain accuracy with online systems designed to report status and progress ie:  Salesforce.com, Appian etc.

You may be responsible for:

Existing customer or partner growth and retention through strategic selling skills.

  • Support, renew and further penetrate existing customers and Partners.
  • Establishes, develops, strengthens and maintains relationships with people at all levels.
  • Engages appropriate resources to build compelling value propositions.
  • Develop market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Proactively engage various teams within Syniverse to ensure appropriate level of support directly to the customer.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years in technology sales
  • Be a strategic thinker and versed in solution selling.
  • A proven track record in the sales development of new markets and new products.
  • Knowledge of softwares such as SalesForce, Excel.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must be action and results oriented, business savvy, and adaptable
  • Must be able to be a team player
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Can close large deals

Working Conditions:

  • Travel required for this position is up to 50%
