We are looking for a highly motivated Accountant (M/F/D) to strengthen our team in Berlin, Munich or Meiningen.

• Policies: You implement the accounting policies based on group guidelines and the company's own requirements in accounting.
• Account Reconciliation & Accruals: You carry out account reconciliations and form periodic accruals for financial statement preparation.
• Accounts Receivable: You are responsible for the proper booking of all business transactions in cooperation with internal sales.
• Monthly/Annual Financial Statements (HGB): You prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS in cooperation with the team and work closely with group accounting, auditors and tax advisors.
• VAT: You support the preparation of the VAT pre-declaration and check its proper implementation.
• Reporting & Processes: You define and create evaluations and work on process documentation, as well as internal controls, and support the further development of the digitalization of our accounting processes.
• Project Accounting for Funded R&D Projects: You are responsible for maintaining project costs, audit-proof document and time recording, and fund requests. You prepare interim and utilization reports in close coordination with project management.

What you bring with you:

• Successfully completed commercial training or training as a tax clerk (m/f/d) with further training as a financial or balance sheet accountant (m/f/d)
• Several years of professional experience in accounting
• Excellent understanding of numbers and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Office and accounting software
• Very good knowledge of accounting principles, accounting processes and internal controls
• Organized, efficient and professional work
• Fluent German and good English skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and data
• Very good communication skills
• Independent, proactive way of working and team spirit
• A positive attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks
