Job Summary
PwC in Bermuda is seeking an Actuarial Manager to join its Actuarial Services practice in the Caribbean region. This role involves analyzing and managing financial risks for clients through statistical modeling and data analysis, with a focus on both audit and consulting. The successful candidate will support the market-leading audit practice and contribute to the expansion of consulting services through diverse projects, supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Must Have
- Provide audit support and actuarial consulting services to a range of (re)insurers.
- Supervise and mentor junior actuarial staff and provide guidance to audit staff on actuarial issues.
- Manage engagement economics to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Nearly or newly credentialed Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS, or equivalent).
- At least 6 years practicing experience within the insurance industry.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Experience with leading teams and in people management, including coaching and developing staff.

- Reserving experience across a range of property & casualty lines of business.

As part of PwC's Actuarial Services practice in the Caribbean region, you will play a role in analysing and managing financial risks for our clients through statistical modelling and data analysis. With a balanced focus on both audit and consulting, you will play an integral role in supporting our market-leading audit practice while contributing to the expansion of our consulting services through engagement in diverse projects.
PwC has an opportunity for a fully qualified Property and Casualty Actuary within our Actuarial Services practice. The successful candidate will support our market leading audit practice and contribute to the growth of the actuarial consulting practice.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing audit support and actuarial consulting services to a range of (re)insurers, from SEC registrants to single-parent captives;
- Supervising and mentoring junior actuarial staff and providing guidance to audit staff on actuarial issues;
- Managing engagement economics to enhance efficiency and profitability
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Nearly or newly credentialed Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS, or equivalent) with at least 6 years practicing experience within the insurance industry;
- Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships; and
- Experience with leading teams and in people management, including coaching and developing staff.
- Reserving experience across a range of property & casualty lines of business is desirable
