Job Description

The Ad Tech Sales Engineer (ATS) role at Google focuses on bringing the right solutions to customers and accelerating product adoption. This involves engaging with mobile app developers, leveraging insights to influence implementation best practices, product strategy, and design. The role requires close collaboration with sales teams, acting as a product expert and technical consultant on ad business products (AdMob and Firebase). Responsibilities include resolving technical escalations, driving consultations, optimizing business strategies, developing best practices, and advocating for publishers. The ATS will also influence product strategy and design, working with Product Management and Engineering teams. This position requires expertise in mobile app development (Android, iOS), and proficiency in object-oriented programming languages and SQL. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with multiple projects and stakeholders, while showcasing strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the AdTech industry.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent
  • OOP experience (Java, C++, Python)
  • SQL experience
  • Mobile app development experience
  • Ad Tech industry experience
  • Problem-solving and solution development
Good to have:
  • Firebase advanced features experience
  • Technical documentation creation
  • Product strategy and sales aptitude

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in object oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Firebase advanced features (remote config, A/B test, etc.).
  • Experience with mobile apps development.
  • Experience in Ad Tech Industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with engaged priorities while working separately to drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to develop and understand product and sales strategies with an aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market.

In this role, you will have an engagement with mobile app developers in the industry and use your insights from working with these companies to influence implementation best practices, product strategy and design. You’ll work closely with the sales teams as the product expert and technical consultant on ad business products to help mobile app companies build and grow their businesses.

You will work with external partners on technical product optimizations and issues (e.g., implementation issues, code performance, debugging), creating technical documents (e.g., codelabs, hangout on air), scaling solutions and processes, positioning new products, and driving adoption of new products and features to market with uptake and growth. You will learn Google ad business products (AdMob and Firebase), develop technical and business expertise in mobile app business, and develop sales and product strategies for driving adoption and growth. Lastly you'll learn how to work with partners, cross-functional teams, and leadership to execute industry changing projects.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Build expertise around mobile apps and business generation products and implementations (Android, iOS).
  • Resolve product and technical escalations from sales teams and develop solutions to scale support.
  • Drive technical and product consultations with mobile app developers. Work closely with sales teams to provide the right solution for their business.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize business strategies and workflows. Develop and roll out best practices to accelerate product adoption and growth.
  • Serve as an advocate of our publishers and work with Product Management and Engineering teams to influence product strategy, design, and prioritization.
