Anti-cheat Analyst (R27146)

Epic Games is seeking an Anti-cheat Analyst to safeguard the integrity of Fortnite and other games utilizing Epic's anti-cheat systems. This role involves reviewing cheat detections, validating data signals, and managing the investigation and appeal process for player sanctions. The analyst will ensure fairness in games and maintain player trust by making objective, data-driven decisions, conducting manual investigations, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance detection models.

Must Have

• Analyze player-submitted appeals and make objective data-driven decisions
• Analyze and validate cheat detections generated by internal systems
• Conduct manual investigations into suspicious behavior or reported cheating incidents
• Ensure accuracy and fairness of sanctions by identifying potential false positives and improving detection accuracy
• Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to the creation and improvement of detection models
• More than three years of experience in data analysis or a related technical role
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data investigation and query creation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to make thoughtful and objective decisions in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in game security, anti-cheat environments, or cybersecurity

Good to Have

• Familiarity with the online gaming ecosystem and common cheating vectors
• Experience in reverse engineering on x86-64 platforms
