Job Summary

SBM Management is seeking an Area Supervisor for custodial/janitorial services. This role involves supervising company programs and policies, ensuring compliance with contractual duties, and managing staff. Key responsibilities include coordinating operations, achieving customer satisfaction, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to regulations. The supervisor will also be responsible for staff interviewing, training, and retention.

Must Have

  • Coordinate and direct operations to meet contractual responsibilities and profitability goals
  • Create complete customer satisfaction and exceed customer expectations
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees
  • Enforce the company’s safety, recognition, and training programs
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (FLSA, OSHA, ADA)
  • Manage and retain a qualified staff
  • Show proficiency in stripping, waxing, scrubbing floors
  • Show proficiency in bonneting and extracting carpet
  • Must have own transportation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings

Good to Have

  • Experience in the janitorial and/or hospitality industry
  • Supervisory experience
  • Active/Transferable DoD TS Clearance

Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is hiring an Area Supervisor over custodial / janitorial services! As the Area Supervisor, you will supervise company programs and policies and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual duties. Supervisory duties include interviewing, training, and directing the work of staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and direct operations necessary to carry out contractual responsibilities and meet profitability goals
  • Create complete Customer satisfaction, exceed Customer expectations
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees by enforcing the company’s safety, recognition, and training programs
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, such as FLSA, OSHA, ADA, etc. by working with Human Resources and Area Manager
  • Manage and retain a qualified staff that: is reasonably satisfied with position and compensation, understands and is trained for their position, has a clear line of sight to the goals and expectations of the company and recognizes the impact of their contributions to the Company
  • Travel may be required for this position

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the janitorial and/or hospitality industry preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
  • To be able to show proficiency in stripping/wax/scrubbing floors/Bonneting and extracting carpet.
  • Must have own transportation
  • Active/Transferable DoD TS Clearance preferred
