Job Description

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and disassembling parts using tools and equipment in an industrial setting. This role requires a team player with strong listening and communication skills to assist in daily 5s and cleaning, resolve quality and production issues, and perform testing and inspection according to engineering drawings. The technician will also troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment, maintain assembly and test equipment, and adhere to safety rules and good housekeeping practices.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Assist in daily 5s and cleaning procedures.
  • Assists

others in obtaining solutions to quality and production issues.

  • Other duties as may be required or

assigned.

  • Assemble, test, and inspect according to engineering drawings and test codes
  • Work with electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment that does not pass the test.
  • Maintain assembly and test equipment as required
  • Move material to and from the workstation by hand, cart, and crane as required
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and maintain good housekeeping

Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an indoor manufacturing environment.

The employee will work in areas exposed to production activities including but not limited to production machinery, assembly operations, overhead crane usage, and forklift traffic.

The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to workplace hazards.

Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this class, the employee is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information, and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills, and interact with other employees, customers, and vendors.
