SBM Management is seeking a dynamic Assistant Area Manager to manage company programs and area staff, ensuring compliance with contract duties. Responsibilities include assisting with safety programs, implementing employee programs, managing forecasts and budgets, providing budget modification recommendations, maintaining customer relationships, consolidating site reports, conducting site audits, managing QBR calendars, developing plans for efficient resource utilization, and providing training on communication and purchases. The role involves day-to-day operational activities for a specified area, inspecting accounts, visiting customers, and assisting supervisors to meet performance specifications. Some travel is required.

Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is searching for a dynamic Assistant Area Manager! The Assistant Area Manager will be responsible for managing company programs and area staff to ensure compliance with contract duties between company and customer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with overall safety programs for each site within area of responsibility
  • Implement/standardize employee safety, attendance, and recognition programs for all sites
  • Manage and provide direction in preparation of forecast and budgets
  • Provide recommendations on budget modifications to local management and or Corporate Finance
  • Assist with maintaining one on one relationship with key customer contacts at each site
  • Consolidate and provide weekly site reports to Regional Manager
  • Complete scheduled and unscheduled site audits with staff and key customer contacts
  • Schedule and manage QBR calendar for responsible area
  • Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees
  • Review and provide training, direction on employee communication, InSite, supplies and equipment purchases
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational activities for a specified area 
  • Inspect all assigned accounts and visit customers as frequently as possible 
  • Assist supervisors to ensure performance to customer and SBM specifications are met 
  • Some travel will be required for this position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or a related field from a four-year college or university with 2-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation: $80,000-90,000 per year
