Job Description:
As a member of Condé Nast’s Global Fashion Network (GFN), the Assistant Fashion Editor supports the team in creating and executing fashion content across brands and platforms including print, digital, and social. They play a critical support and logistics role for the individual projects, for maintenance of the closest, and for the fashion network team overall.
This role will provide on the ground support for all Vanity Fair shoots. This role will report to the Accessories Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the full spectrum of the Accessories Market, mens and womens, with the potential eventual ownership of small and/or soft accessories markets. Market will be for print and digital editions with oversight from the Accessories Director.
- Work closely with the Accessories Director to ensure all product is requested in a timely manner, directly covering markets specified by the Accessories Director.
- Expected to contribute ideas and suggestions for projects.
- Oversee the updating of fashion boards and follow ups of requests in a timely manner.
- Track, check in, and organize all sample inventory.
- Oversee all logistics for shootings and shipping for shoots. Schedule messengers, and work closely with the logistics department to ensure timely arrival of confirmed product.
- Oversee all insurance paperwork for accessories of value including, but not limited to, Fine and High Jewelry.
- Work with other assistants on the team as well as stylist assistants to ensure sittings and credits are correct and compiled in a timely manner for print and digital editions, including international editions.
- Maintain all seasonal lookbook folders.
- Attend market appointments and fashion shows as appropriate.
- Contribute to seasonal trend reports and ideas with the greater fashion team.
- Assist with other brands in the Global Fashion Network as needed.
- Assist with maintaining organization and cleanliness of the fashion closet.
Experience and Requirements:
- 1-2 years of fashion experience is preferred.
- Deep interest in fashion and popular culture.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A clear and effective communicator.
- Strong attention to detail, extremely organized, and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- An entrepreneurial problem solving mindset with commitment to delivering results.
- Strong collaboration skills.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $63,000-$70,000.. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
